The Ghana Police Service has rejected claims that it took custody of some missing excavators in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
This followed reports on Friday that two excavators which were in their custody, according to the DCE Kwasi Bonzo, are nowhere to be found.
In a statement on September 2, the police claimed that no excavators were handed over to them by the DCE.

“We wish to assure the public that anybody implicated in the course of the investigation will be taken through the due process of the law,” the press release read.
The communique signed by Supt Olivia Adiku explained that the DCE, his aide and another person are being investigated over the missing equipment.
She, however, assured the public of her outfit's will to bring the perpetrators to book.
