The Ashanti Regional Police Command has launched an investigation following a fatal shooting incident that occurred on the evening of Monday, 22nd July 2025, at Asawase F-Line in the regional capital, Kumasi.
According to a statement issued by the Police, preliminary findings indicate that a middle-aged man was shot and killed by two unidentified assailants.
The suspects, both riding separate motorbikes, reportedly approached the victim at close range and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
The victim was initially rushed to the Manhyia District Hospital for emergency treatment but was later transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
His body has since been deposited at the Ebenezer Mortuary in Tafo for autopsy.
