The Eastern South Regional Police Command has restored order in Boadua after a reported chieftaincy dispute led to a group forcibly entering and damaging the community's chief's palace this past weekend.
According to a press release from the Police Public Affairs Unit dated December 16, 2025, the incident occurred on Saturday, December 14.
The Bretuo Abusuapanin of Boadua filed a complaint stating that individuals from the Boadua Aduana Family damaged the palace's main entrance, forcibly entered the premises, and destroyed a shrine in an attempt to take control of the palace from the reigning Bretuo Family.

Upon receiving the complaint, police personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene to restore order and prevent further escalation within the community.
The police investigation led to the arrest of eight suspects identified as Baffour Kwame Agyei Kwabena Twum, Baffour Kwame Annor, Baffour Kofi Dankwa, Maxwell Frimpong, Eric Dankwah, Nana Kwaku Frimpong, Baffour Kwasi Ampaabeng, and Baffour Yaw Anya.
All eight individuals have been granted police enquiry bail and are scheduled to be arraigned before the court on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
The police have emphasized that the suspects are currently assisting with the investigation. The swift action appears to have successfully de-escalated tensions in the community for the time being.
The Eastern South Regional Police Command urges the public to allow the judicial process to run its course and has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and order in the region.
