The PBS Bedhead Unit had been designed with a nurse call system if required, while the EA X-ray Viewer has been designed to provide unmatched clarity and reliability, making it an essential tool for healthcare professionals, dentists and industrial experts.
The two equipment, designed and developed by the Innovation Hub of the company, have received wide acclaim during the launch and have gone through many years of scientific and testing.

In his welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer of the Universal Hospitals Group, Mr Frederick Amissah said the company is thrilled to introduce the PBS Bedhead Unit and the EA X-RAY Viewer to the healthcare community.
He said the two cutting-edge equipment exemplify the company’s commitment to advancing medical innovation and improving patient care outcomes.

Mr Fredrick Amissah explained that the successful manufacture of the two medical equipment was as a result of extensive research and development made by UHG’s team of experts including biomedical engineers and technical professionals, which shows the company’s exceptional commitment to healthcare delivery in Ghana.
According to him, the equipment has been approved by the country’s major regulatory bodies such as Ghana Standard Authority and Food and Drugs Authority.

“By leveraging the latest advancements in medical gas technology, UHG continues to set new standards for diagnostic precision and clinical excellence” said Mr Amissah.
Mr Fredrick Amissah however appealed to health care providers to patronise the equipment to enable them save money as well as the Ghanaian economy.
Concerning current demand on the market, Mr Amissah said the company is building its capacity to respond quickly to meet future customer demands.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Research Statistics and Information Management at the Ministry of Health, Dr Wisdom Atiwoto, who represented the health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandor, said the ministry is committed to championing initiatives that drive progress and improve the quality of healthcare services for all individuals.
According to him, the introduction of these two ground-breaking pieces of equipment, PBS Bedhead Unit and EA X-ray Viewer, aligns perfectly with the government’s vision of creating a healthier, self-dependent and more prosperous society.

The chairman for the ceremony and Head of Biomedical Engineering at the Ministry, Dr Nicholas Adjabu, stressed that the PBS Bedhead Unit and EA X-ray Viewer are set to revolutionize the landscape of health in Ghana.
