Controversial counsellor and cultural commentator, Counsellor Lutterodt has criticized President Akufo-Addo and the Ghana police for the Executive Instrument ordering individuals to wear face masks even when alone in their cars with the glasses rolled-up.
President Akuffo-Addo during his most recent Covid-19 address to the nation, cautioned Ghanaians to continue to wear their masks wherever and whenever possible; warning that not doing so could lead to an arrest and subsequent prosecution.
Many received the announcement with displeasure.
Counselor Lutterodt, who was speaking on Prime Morning said failure or refusal to wear a mask in your own private space should not warrant an arrest.
“I don't even understand why I should wear a nose mask when I am alone with my wife in the car after probably kissing before leaving home. We're in the car alone, we talk, droplets come from each other, it's just the two of us” he lamented.
“The President didn't understand what he was saying, quote me anywhere, because what I'm saying is that, I'm in the car with my wife and we've rolled up our windows, you insist we should be in nose masks? We're having sexual intercourse and kissing with our wives and you want us to wear nose masks when we're both alone. Are we serious?"
Prime Morning airs on Joy Prime on weekdays at 6am prompt.
