Hearts of Oak supporters besieged the club's secretariat on Wednesday to demonstrate against Togbe Afede XIV's leadership.
The supporters are angered by the recent happenings at the club which include the shock resignations of almost all technical team members, plus head coach Kosta Papic.
The Serbian resigned after 78 days in charge, claiming leadership interfered with his work. The club confirmed he resigned along with goalkeeper’s trainer Ben Owu.
And in the absence of assistant coach Asare Bediako, who resigned a week ago, the club have asked U-15 coach Samuel Nii Noi to take charge of first-team training until a new coach is appointed.
The supporters, who stormed the club's Adabraka secretariat, allegedly blocked staff from going into their offices while making serious demands, which they expect the leadership to address immediately.
They are demanding a reconstitution of the club’s board of directors and an emergency meeting with Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV, who occupies that position by virtue of being the majority shareholder.
They also want Alhaji Akanbi, a long-serving board member, fired. It is believed that Akanbi influences most of the major decisions taken by the club.
And then, the supporters want the club to appoint a head coach - but said person should be a Ghanaian.
"The NCC demands the immediate appointment of a first-team coach,” the club’s supporters chief, Elvis Herman Hesse said.
"This should be done in consultation with all the stakeholders. We have realized that the expatriate coaches have not helped the club for the past decade.
"We will not hesitate to take any action when an expatriate coach is appointed. The NCC wants to be involved in who becomes the next Chief Executive Officer and a local coach.”
Hearts of Oak have not won a major trophy since 2009.
