A first half goal from Justus Torsutey was enough to sink Legon Cities at the WAFA park.
The Academy boys started the game stronger creating the majority of chances in the early exchanges.
Their early pressure paid of as Torsutey scored his third goal in four games to give WAFA the lead.
Legon Cities were much improved in the second half and came close through a Richmond Antwi header which went wide.
WAFA held on for their eighth home victory of the season. A result that sends them just two points behind the top four.
For Legon Cities, they remain a point above the relegation zone and could drop depending on results.
