It’s crunch time in the Ghana Premier League as the season reaches its business end.

Hearts of Oak dropping points against Great Olympics means the title race is even tighter than ever.

The Phobians still top the table, but now just on goal difference.

Here are four games to lookout for this matchday.

Hearts of Oak vs Medeama 

Although, Hearts' winning streak of five games was halted by Great Olympics, the Phobians still remain unbeaten in six games.

There isn’t much time to ponder on dropped points against Olympics as Medeama are up next.

After a bad run of form, Medeama have showed glimpses of picking up as they’ve won two of their last three games with just a solitary goal.

Anything but victory for the Mauve and Yellows will dent their hopes of winning the title this season. 

For Hearts of Oak, they can’t afford to drop any points before they meet Asante Kotoko on matchday 31.

Samuel Boadu will have extra motivation to prove a point as he faces his former employers.

Inter Allies vs Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko will have one eye on the Sunday game between Hearts and Medeama.

Inter Allies, who are rooted at the bottom of the league, are the perfect opponents for Kotoko to improve their goal difference,

However, three points against Inter Allies won’t come cheap.

The Eleven is to One boys are falling behind in the race for safety.

Currently five points from safety, Inter Allies need maximum points against Kotoko to stand any chance in a tight relegation battle.

Kotoko won 1-0 when the two sides faced off in the reverse fixture. This time round, expect a more open game as both teams will be going for the win.

WAFA vs Dreams FC

A well poised game which could go a long way to determine the outcome of the top four places.

Dreams FC currently occupy fifth spot just one point off the top four.

WAFA are further down in seventh and are three points off the top four.

Dreams comfortably brushed aside WAFA when both sides met in the first round.

A 3-0 victory was part of an 8-game unbeaten run by the Still Believe boys.

WAFA have massively improved since then and would provide a sterner test this time round.

Karela United vs Legon Cities

Legon Cities are a team in form and have have picked up 19 points from their last 10 games - only Hearts of Oak have more.

The transformation in results has seen Bashir Hayford’s men move from relegation candidates to mid-table candidates.

An unlikely victory against a Karela United side strong at home, could propel Legon Cities into a late surge for the top 6.

Karela themselves have fallen hard since the beginning of the second round. From sitting top, to now scraping for a a top four finish.

The absence of Diawisie Taylor will be felt as the striker is the leading marksman in the league with 16 goals.

Both sides played out a goalless draw in the first round, but with stakes being higher this time, a more fierce game is expected.
