The CEO of Mylik Sports, Kofi Bawuah, wants the Ghana FA to reverse a decision barring players of Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies from travelling for their alleged involvement in a match fixing plot.

Bawuah bitterly decried the manner in which the issue has been handled so far terming it as an "inconvenience."

"I think it's an injustice being done to the footballers. Investigations do not prove any crime whatsoever. So for the GFA tocome up with a blanket statement that no high commission or embassy should give visas or entertain players from these two clubs is an injustice to these players.

Also, it is a fundamental human right to these players for them to earn an income," added Bawuah.

Both teams are the subject of an ongoing investigation after a game between them played on July 17 at the Len Clay Stadium produced a suspicious 7-0 result in favour of Ashanti Gold on the final match
day of the just ended season.

The score line, the heaviest recorded in the 2020/2021 season, included two own goals by Inter Allies defender Hashmin Musah who appeared to score both goals deliberately as evidenced in a video that
has since gone viral. Musah later claimed he did that to quash a betting plot.

Meanwhile, investigations into the matter by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service are currently ongoing.

While Bawuah doesn't have an issue with the inquest per say, he is calling upon some kind of a return to normalcy saying,

 "The fact that they played in this game does not necessarily mean that they committed any crime. Understandably, this is a canker that needs to be taken out of the game. But as a general Secretary you don't sit in the office and just give a directory that no player should travel. Investigations can take up to a year. Sometimes two
years. So what happens?"

He also cited the recent MTN FA Cup finals in which Ashanti Gold were allowed to play even though the team was still under scrutiny while urging the GFA to respond quickly and provide a way forward before the "window closes on the 31st."
