A 2019 Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential aspirant, Wilfred Kwaku Osei 'Palmer', has accused Kurt Okraku of turning the association into a political institution.
"President Kurt Okraku engaged in politics," he told Joy Sports.
In the GFA's 28th annual congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, the cover photo the president's speech was his photo.
"Look at the president’s speech," he continued "you have his picture; is it done?
"I have never been to an annual General Assembly meeting or corporate meeting where the Chief Executive or president has his picture as a cover photo.
"What is normally done is that, on the first page, if the president is going to give a speech, they will put his passport copy as the first page but not the cover page, is it not politics?" the 2019 FA presidential aspirant quizzed.
The Tema Youth owner claims the FA president since assumption of office has engaged in politics at the expense of prudent management of the football in the country.
"Why would you do politics with corporate governance? We are meeting to discuss issues that affect the operation of the FA and he chose to do politics," he alleged.
Osei Palmer was disqualified from contesting the 2019 GFA presidential elections.
