The Ghana Football Association extended a standing ovation to Dreams FC Head Coach Karim Zito for leading the club to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Zito guided the Still Believe side to the last four of the competition on their first attempt, marking the first time a Ghanaian club has reached the stage in the last 20 years.
During a meeting with the Ghana FA, officials of the football governing body, including President Kurt Okraku and other Executive Council members, stood up to applaud the coach's achievement.

“Sometimes when I see him [Zito] work and I hear him speak, I feel a bit emotional because he’s somebody I have known for long. I think he’s earned his respect among our coaches, and it’s important we accord him the respect that he deserves,” President Okraku said as quoted by Ghanafa.org.
Dreams FC were eliminated by African heavyweights Zamalek after suffering a 3-0 defeat in Kumasi, following a goalless draw in the first leg in Cairo.
However, they stand a chance of returning to the competition next season after advancing to the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win over Soccer Intellectuals.
Next, they will face fellow Ghana Premier League outfit, Bofoakwa Tano for a place in the final.
