Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is optimistic about a positive season for Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in the upcoming Ghana Premier League.
Both clubs with 46 league titles between them, had a disappointing campaign last season, finishing outside the top five.
However, after watching the two sides in the Democracy Cup on July, 17, where Kotoko defeated Hearts 2-1 to win the maiden competition, Badu was blown away by their performance.
"For the past two years, I can say this is the first time I can say I have witnessed a great game [between] Hearts and Kotoko," He told JoySports.
"The ball was on the ground, inter-positional changes, good possession, composure and it was very nice. I think both of them can build on this and have a formidable squad.
"Both teams can build on this so that this year, the league will be very exciting."
The Premier League begins on September 6 with fixtures yet to be announced.
