Hearts of Oak left it late to snatch a win over Young Apostles on matchday six of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Forward Hamza Issah scored a late winner to ensure the Phobians grabbed a 1-2 win at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 13.
The home side almost walked away with a point after Samuel Prempeh's wonder goal but Hamza turned up to break the hearts of the home fans.
Both teams went into the break with very little to report after their end-to-end attack on several occasions resulted in no goals.
However, Hearts found the breakthrough five minutes into the second period of the game.
Mohammed Sanni set up Emmanuel Amankwah for the opening goal of the game.
Young Apostles fought on for their equaliser and found it six minutes away from the full-time whistle.
Substitute Prempeh brilliantly met the cross of Rurf Abdul Rahman with an overhead kick which looped over the goalkeeper to make it 1-1.
Despite conceding, Hearts were relentless and restored their lead immediately after great footwork by Sanni to register his second assist of the game, feeding Hamza, who made it 1-2.
The result means Aboubakar Ouattara's side are unbeaten in their last four games in the league, picking up two wins and two draws. The Accra-based side now move to eighth on the league table.
Young Apostles, on the other side, are winless in the last two.
