Asieduwaa Akumia, co-host of the Prime Morning show on Joy Prime, has earned a prestigious nomination in the Woman in Leadership category of the Africa Golden Awards.
Professionally, the bubbly presenter began her media career in 2021, with Metro TV as her first station. While at Metro, she hosted Metro Social—a 30-minute entertainment show that covers interesting and exciting events happening in Ghana.
She also produced and anchored the entertainment segment on Metro News Night and co-hosted Entertainment Review, an entertainment show that discusses happenings in the showbiz industry across the globe.

During her time at Metro, Asieduwaa Akumia had the privilege of covering prestigious events such as the 40 Under 40 Awards 2021, Glitz Women of the Year Awards 2021, Ghana Influential Youth Awards 2021, and the Health, Environment, Security and Safety Awards 2021, among others. She was also the red carpet host for the 2021 edition of the Tasty Tom Ghana Outstanding Women Awards.
Aside that, she has also hosted other social events including 2024 Ghana Comedy Awards, first edition of Ghana Gospel Icon in 2022, the grand finale of Pose for Africa 2022, the launch of the 5th edition of Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) and red carpet host of 2024 Halal Afrika Live Recording in South Africa.
The presenter joined the Multimedia Group in 2022 and has been exceptional during her time with the Joy Prime team. She also hosted a segment at the 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, dubbed the Joy Prime Lounge.
Beyond the media space, Asieduwaa is a philanthropist and entrepreneur. She is an alumna of Wesley Girls’ High School and holds a Bachelor of Communication Design degree from Radford University College.

She has received some awards from Ghana Corporate Summit and Awards, 2024 and the 2025 Africa Leadership and Entrepreneurship Awards/Peace Summit.
Her remarkable contributions to the industry, along with her unwavering commitment to empowering others, have set her apart.
