Mental health is central to our overall well-being, impacting how we think, feel, relate to others, and handle life’s challenges.
Yet, in Ghana, it remains under-supported, under-funded, and deeply stigmatised. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines mental health as a basic human right and an essential condition for personal and community development. Still, an estimated 2.3 million Ghanaians live with mental health conditions, often without adequate care.
In response to this national need, VINT & Aletheia Attorneys and Consultants, a Legal 500 & IFLR 1000-ranked law firm in Accra, launched its CSR initiative, The Wholesome Mind—a platform committed to promoting mental well-being through public awareness, professional collaboration, and tangible action.
From Summit to Xperience: A Movement in Motion
In 2024, the firm hosted the maiden event dubbed The Wholesome Mind Summit in partnership with key mental health institutions.

The summit focused on Mental Health in the Workplace, creating space for dialogue and education among professionals, employers, and mental health experts. This year, the initiative evolves into a deeper, action-driven event:
The Wholesome Mind Xperience.
Taking place this October 11, the Xperience will center around the theme: Mental Health in Our Community: Children and Adults. It will combine expert-led sessions, wellness activities, and immersive environments that promote reflection, connection, and resilience across every stage of life.
But more importantly, it has launched a bold, collective mission—one that moves beyond conversation into real transformation.
Launching the Xperience Project: A Call to Build Hope
As part of this year’s gathering, The Wholesome Mind Xperience Project has officially launched a global campaign to support the refurbishment of the Special Ward at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in collaboration with the following institutions: KPMG (Accountability Partner), Cal Bank PLC (Funding Account), Keen Developers (Lead Contractors), Ark Properties (Consulting Architects), and Express Pay (Global Payment Portal).
The aim is to transform the ward into a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit; a restorative, dignified space—one that reflects the humanity and worth of every patient. This is more than a donation drive; it’s an opportunity to shape the future of mental health care in Ghana.
To lead by example, VINT & Aletheia has committed a seed fund to this effort. The firm now invites individuals, companies, development agencies, and the Ghanaian diaspora to join this movement of collective empathy and shared responsibility.
Together, we are building a new vision where mental health is not just discussed but defended, respected, and resourced.
