The Stakeholder Committee established by the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations (MoCDTI) to evaluate DSTV pricing has confirmed that the enhanced value packages introduced on 15 October 2025 remain in force.
The committee said Ghanaians have responded positively to the adjustments, resulting in a significant rise in subscriptions.
The committee, chaired by the Honourable Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, includes representatives from the National Communications Authority (NCA) and MultiChoice Ghana.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, a spokesperson highlighted ongoing efforts to ensure the packages deliver value while addressing related challenges in the sector.
“The enhanced value packages were duly implemented as announced and remain in force,” the statement noted.

The committee is also collaborating with agencies such as the Cybersecurity Authority to curb internet streaming piracy of pay-TV content, a practice that has been linked to losses in tax revenue, reduced income for the creative industry, and increased consumer exposure to malware and phishing schemes.
The working group reaffirmed its commitment to continued engagement to ensure the objectives of the DSTV pricing exercise are achieved, including protecting consumer interests and supporting the growth of Ghana’s digital and creative industries.
The implementation of the enhanced DSTV packages followed months of discussions between government regulators, MultiChoice, and other stakeholders, aimed at providing better service and value to subscribers while curbing illegal content distribution.
