Former Black Stars captain André Ayew has vowed to prove his quality in the Dutch league.
Ayew joined Eredivisie side NAC Breda until the end of the season, with an option for another campaign.
The 36-year-old has featured for several clubs in Europe, including Marseille, Swansea City, and West Ham, and hopes to make his mark at his new club.
“That is why I am here,” Ayew told the club’s media.
“Every season is a new start, and your past does not count; that is football.
“I know that there are a lot of expectations, but for me, that is what I have been through my whole career, so I am very calm about it.
“Very soon, I will be at my top.”

Ayew has made two substitute appearances for NAC as they battle relegation.
The club sits 17th on the 18-team league standings with 14 points from 19 matches.
Former Black Stars striker Matthew Amoah, who is part of the coaching staff at NAC Breda, has charged Ayew to deliver for the club.
“I told him, ‘This is what the fans want from you.
“You have to fight, because that’s why you are here, and if you fight for the fans, for the team, the rest will come by itself.’”
Ayew’s NAC will face league leaders PSV in their next outing on January 24.
