A three-year-old child has been rescued after falling into a latrine at Asuogya, a suburb of Nkawkaw.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service responded swiftly after receiving a distress call at exactly 3:03 p.m. on Monday, March 23.

Upon arrival, the rescue team assessed the situation and immediately began an operation to retrieve the child, who was at risk of drowning. Working under challenging conditions, the firefighters managed to safely pull the child out of the latrine.
The victim was rescued alive and rushed to Holy Family Hospital for medical examination and treatment.
Eyewitnesses praised the firefighters for their quick response and professionalism, describing the rescue as timely and life-saving.
