The 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North Constituency, Eric Edem Agbana has vowed to work hard to deliver 95% of the votes in the Constituency to the NDC in the upcoming December elections.
Edem made this pledge at a Campaign and Manifesto launch event held at Dzodze on Sunday, September 1 to officially kickstart the NDC’s campaign in the Constituency.
Addressing thousands of party supporters and residents drawn from the various towns in the Constituency, the former Deputy National Youth Organizer of the NDC said even though the target earlier had been to secure about 85% of the votes in the constituency, a survey conducted by his team indicates that the party could well garner about 95% of the votes in the Constituency at the 2024 polls.
“Our working target was about 85% but at the last survey there’s every indication that we can secure 90-95% of the total votes in this constituency for the NDC. This is largely due to the work we have done since I became the Parliamentary candidate. In the manifesto document we just launched I have outlined a number of projects and initiatives we have undertaken even before I become the MP and I have as well outlined my personal vision and the plans that President Mahama has for the people of Ketu North come 2025."

"This is why my team and I are confident that we can achieve our target. It is all about the work we have done, our message and the fact that the good people of Ketu North can clearly see development on the horizon and will come out in their numbers to vote massively for President Mahama and myself come December 7," Mr Agbana remarked.
The former University of Ghana SRC President also outdoored his vision for the constituency highlighting youth development, skills acquisition, jobs, education, social and economic infrastructure, support for the vulnerable and aged as the focus of his representation.
The event had Constituency, Regional and some national executives of the party as well as other big wigs adress the crowd on various themes.
Outgoing MP for the area and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in Parliament, Dr James Klutse Avedzi praised Edem Agbana as a hardworking son of the area and expressed confidence in him as his worthy replacement who will take the development of Ketu North to the next level.
Former Minority Leader and MP for Tamale Central, Haruna Iddrisu said the next NDC government under President Mahama will construct the Ho-Dzodze road among many other social infrastructures and charged the people to come out to vote for the NDC.
North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa expressed confidence in the competence of Edem Agbana and thanked the chiefs and people of the area for the support given him.
Other speakers such as MP for Ketu South, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, Deputy Director of Communications of the NDC, Obuobia Darko Opoku, Shamima Muslim, John Dumelo all touched on various aspects of the NDC’s message.
The Party also officially inaugurated its working committees mandated to work with the constituency and regional executives to deliver victory for the NDC in the Constituency.
