President Akufo-Addo says his government is executing over 1,481 physical projects in the Eastern Region.
According to him, 768 of the projects are fully completed while 713 are at various stages of completion or ongoing.
"As of now, over 80% of our campaign promises have been fulfilled," he added.
Giving more details, the President said out of the 768 completed projects, 402 are in the educational sector, with 48 under the Ministry of Roads and Highways and about 201 in the Water and Sanitation sector.
Speaking with the members of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs as part of his working visit to the Eastern Region, Nana Akufo-Addo said he was campaigning based on his achievements.
He mentioned that, even though Ghana's constitution doesn't allow chiefs to actively participate in politics, they still have the right to vote.
He, therefore, pleaded with the traditional rulers to extend his mandate so he can do more.
"With four more for Nana and the NPP, we can do this and more for you. It's almost four years since I was elected President, so now I am campaigning based on the things I have done.
On his part, the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs Osagyefo Amoati Ofori Panin endorsed President Akufo-Addo's second term.
“Your good works in Office will speak for you going forward into the election. We, in Asanteman, remember, we do not forget. Asanteman will, therefore, remember your good works on election day. All I can offer you is prayers and blessings.”
