Gospel musician and the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) Gospel Artiste of the Year, Piesie Esther has revealed the secret behind her recent intense fashion style.
According to her, getting the opportunity to take pictures in new clothes while growing up was difficult as her family was not financially strong.
"When I finished school, my mom did not have money to buy a dress for me to take pictures. So, I was the only person wearing my school uniform during that time," she said on Joy Prime’s morning show on Wednesday.
However, considering her current state and the success she has achieved so far, the "Wayε Me Yie" hitmaker has seized the privilege to explore her fashion style which she missed that as a teenager.
"If I’ve gotten that chance today, I have to ‘shada’," she said.
The gospel minister also indicated that God likes good things and loves to see his followers look good.
Again, she feels that how a Christian looks when preaching the gospel helps win people to Christ. "If you preached to a rich man in torn clothes or slippers, do you think the person would accept and be like you? she quizzed.
Despite the fact that it is good to appear good before people as a minister of God, she has urged that it should be done adequately and decently.
