President Akufo-Addo has today, Monday, August 3, 2020, unveiled the first VW-assembled car in Ghana.
The establishment of this plant, together with a few others is expected to create thousands of jobs for Ghanaians, particularly mechanical and electrical engineers.
The event took place at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra and was graced by the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanten, and some officials from Volkswagen.
It is also in line with an earlier pledge that VW will start production in Ghana by the end of April 2020.
