The Ghana Police Service says it is on a manhunt for the persons who attacked the Northern Regional Office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) office at Tamale on August 23.
It said will ensure the perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted.
“Whilst we assure the public that all the perpetrators will be brought to face justice, we urge everyone to choose peaceful means to resolve their differences rather than resorting to violence,” he said.

Some youth of the NDC in Tamale vandalised the party’s Regional Office.
Their action is in protest of a decision to let one of the party’s Vice Chairmen, Mr. Ali Adolf act as Regional Chairman.
The party’s leadership in the Region took a decision that Mr. Adolf acts in the interim following the death of the party’s Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila.
But this did not go down well with youth of the party in the region.
As a result, they arrived at the party office and ordered the workers to leave on Tuesday, August 23.
They then locked up the place.
They subsequently vandalised chairs and other properties of the party.
