Japanese striker Jindo Morishita became the first Asian to feature in a Ghana Premier League match as he made his debut for Ebusua Dwarfs in their 1-1 draw against Techiman Eleven Wonders.
Morishita came off the bench in the second half for his debut but could barely influence the game played at the Cape Coast stadium on Friday.
The 25-year-old enjoyed 26 minutes of action as he replaced attacker Obed Bentum.
The score line was one all before Morishita came onto the field. After a fantastic start, Dwarfs took the lead through Michael Asamoah, who scored with a fine strike.
But Wonders responded two minutes later with an equaliser thanks to Clement Boahen.
The result leaves both teams unchanged on the league log. Dwarfs are 8th with 27 points while Wonders are 14th with 22 points.
Morishita, who joined Dwarfs last month, has set sights on scoring 10 goals in the second half of the season.
