Vision FC secured a dramatic late victory to claim all three points against relegation-threatened Accra Lions at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema.
With both teams separated by just three points in the league table, a loss for either side would significantly impact their battle to avoid relegation on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Accra Lions’ Yao Sokpoli opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box, giving the visitors an early lead.
Lions defended their advantage until the 79th minute when Vision FC forward Emmanuel Akansase found the equalizer, bringing the game level.
Despite Accra Lions’ defensive resilience, Vision FC kept piling on the pressure and eventually secured a late winner through Isaac Opoku Agyemang’s sublime finish in the 96th minute, sinking Accra Lions further into the relegation zone.
Vision FC now sits 12th with 22 points, while Accra Lions remain bottom of the table with 16 points.
