Hearts of Oak ended the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season on a high after beating Samartex on Sunday.
Konadu Yiadom scored the only goal of the game for the Phobians as they picked up a 1-0 win.
Aboubakar Ouattara’s side came into the game on the back of five unbeaten games, winning three and drawing the other two.
Samartex, on the other hand, had lost two of their last five games, winning the remaining three.
Hearts of Oak made a great start to the game but their attacking threats were thwarted by the defensive line of the Timber Giants.
The two teams went into the break with nothing to separate them and the scoreline at 0-0.
However, it didn’t take long for the Phobians to take the lead as Yiadom found the back of the net.
His goal fired the team into fourth position at the end of the season with Kotoko dropping out following their defeat to Vision FC in Accra.
Hearts finished five points behind league winners Bibiani GoldStars.
