Season 3 of Ghana’s best kids' cooking show, Big Chef on Joy Prime, is back to keep your taste buds tingling and your eyes glued to your television sets as the 12 contestants make their first appearance in the kitchen.
Grouped into Team Joy and Team Prime, the young chefs were excited to whip up breakfast meals and warm their way into the judges' hearts as the season took flight.

Following the announcement of the day’s task by the judges, Chef Kofi Agyekum and Chef Rafiatu Yussif, all contenders hurriedly made their way within the 5 minutes allotted to select all their ingredients at the open market to start preparing their meals.
They were challenged with preparing any breakfast meal of their choice using sponsors' products and ingredients displayed in the open market.

All 12 contestants were allocated 30 minutes to innovatively complete the task with their choice of recipes.
While cooking was on, the popular phrases "clean as you go" and "don’t waste the ingredients" were constantly being repeated by the judges to remind all contestants to keep their stations neat and check the portion sizes.
At the end of the episode, Chef Rafiatu and Chef Kofi expressed their excitement for the subsequent episodes. They are confident that the young chefs will keep wowing them with mind-blowing innovation in the kitchen.
Since it was a warm-up episode, no contestant was adjudged the winner, but they were entreated to step up their games for the successive challenges.
Nonetheless, the heat in the kitchen has turned all the way up. Will the contestants heed the judges’ advice? Will they return to the kitchen with their A-game? Who will emerge as “Star Chef of the Day” in the next episode

Join the host, Michelle Agyekum, this and every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. on Joy Prime to watch more captivating episodes of Big Chef.
This season of Big Chef is proudly sponsored by Fortune Rice, Frytol Cooking Oil, Indomie, Tasty Tom, Flora Tissues, Kiki Juice Drinks, Makana Market, and Aromes 3 Lions.
