Ghana international Yaw Yeboah believes the Black Stars have what it takes to lift the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana have struggled in recent times to leave a mark on the continental stage after their last success in 1982. The Black Stars have made the final of the AFCON once in the last decade.
The current crop of players has also come under a lot of pressure to ensure they return from Ivory Coast with the ultimate despite the recent poor performances.
However, Yeboah, who is included in Ghana's provisional squad for the 2023 AFCON believes Chris Hughton's men can win the tournament.
"We have all the qualities to be there, all the qualities to win the AFCON," the 26-year-old said.
"We are hoping that everything goes well for the players and also for the country to ensure we win."
Yeboah last played for the Black Stars during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers coming on as a late substitute in the 3-1 win over Zimbabwe.
Asked what his expectations are for the Black Stars, the former Black Meteors captain added: "For me, I am always ready. Whenever I have the chance to represent the country, I will make sure I am always ready."
"The world has seen it. Ghanaians have seen it so right now I will get myself ready for whatever happens.
"I can't stop. Nothing stops me. I just have to keep playing well, training well and whatever happens in future happens."
Yeboah returned from the 2023 MLS season as a double winner, clinching the Eastern Conference and the MLS Cup.
