A founding member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has advised the future president of the country to launch investigations into all officials appointed by the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe urged the winner of the 2024 presidential election to establish a commission of inquiry to scrutinize members of the current government for allegations of corruption.
In an interview with TV3 on Tuesday, January 9, the Hearts of Oak S.C. board member expressed his belief that many of President Akufo-Addo's appointees have engaged in corrupt practices while in office.
He emphasised the importance for the next president to ensure that these individuals do not escape consequences for their alleged crimes against the Ghanaian people.
According to Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, such commitment and dedication to addressing corruption are what Ghanaians desire from their leaders.
“Whoever takes over this country next year, must set up a commission of inquiry to investigate into anyone who has been in public service, particularly those in government. Because a lot of the things that they have done is known to the people."
"After all, the buildings that they have put up in Peduase and all the places you can imagine, are built by human beings. So, they shouldn’t think they didn't know, they are known,” he said.
