Black Stars midfielder, Salis Abdul Samed, has signed a one-year contract extension with French Ligue 1 outfit, RC Lens.
The 23-year-old's contract with the club will now run until 2028. He signed a five-year deal with Lens after joining from Clermont Foot last summer that was due to expire in 2027.
Salis had a breakthrough season with the Red and Gold outfit as they finished second in the French league with 84 points, just a point behind champions Paris Saint-Germain.
He has made 33 Ligue 1 appearances this term, scoring a goal and providing one assist.
RC Lens manager, Franck Haise, is hopeful Salis Abdul Samed has more to offer in the coming seasons after reaching these heights in only his second professional season.
"It's only his second season as a professional. When he reaches his 5th or 6th season, he will have more maturity and a better understanding of situations. You will see a better Salis."
Salis has been named in Ghana's squad to play Madagascar in the round five game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers later this month.
